Chainguard is a software supply chain security startup focused on providing a trusted supply chain of open-source components that enterprises can grab and build and use in all of their infrastructure. This includes things needed for compliance like signatures and provenance as well as an SLA around vulnerabilities where Chainguard patches vulnerabilities so that customers can consume open-source safely. On discussing his 2024 security predictions, Dan Lorenc, CEO at Chainguard, says, “We’re going to start seeing AI used by attackers even more.” Sophisticated attackers are going to increasingly leverage AI for malicious purposes.
