Swapnil Bhartiya

Swapnil Bhartiya is a technology journalist who has covered enterprise technology since 2005, with roots in Linux and open source. He is the founder and host of TFiR, where he interviews the engineers and leaders building AI infrastructure, cloud-native systems and enterprise security.

Over two decades he has interviewed many of the people who shaped open source and modern infrastructure, including Linus Torvalds, Richard Stallman, Guido van Rossum, Greg Kroah-Hartman, Mark Shuttleworth, Brian Behlendorf, Jim Zemlin, Kelsey Hightower, Dirk Hohndel, Eben Upton, Massimo Banzi and Klaus Knopper.

Off camera, he writes science fiction and spends his time in a home workshop, welding, 3D printing, CNC machining and laser engraving. He's a car enthusiast, a sim racer with a rig he built himself, a movie buff and an audiophile. He runs his own AI infrastructure, which he uses for both his work and his workshop projects.
