The Cloud Foundry Community recently released the results of its annual user survey so we invited Chip Childers, Executive Director of the Cloud Foundry Foundation to our show to discuss this year’s findings.
70% of the respondents have reported that using Cloud Foundry has significantly reduced their cycle times. The time it takes to go from an idea to running the code in production went from 1-6 months to 3 weeks. Around 20% of the respondents said they can go from initial code to running in production in less than a day.
According to the survey, Cloud Foundry is running mission-critical applications, not just websites and microservices. In addition, more than 57% of the organizations are using Cloud Foundry in concert with Kubernetes.
