Although the z/VM hypervisor is well established, many younger developers do not have the time to learn it and how to work with it. The Feilong Project aims to bridge this gap and make it possible for developers who are not familiar with the z/VM hypervisor to interact through a RESTful API. Mike Friesenegger, Chair of the Feilong Project and Solution Architect – Alliances & Integrated Systems at SUSE, explains further in this video what the goal of the project is and how it aims to solve this problem.
