KNIME, the open source data analytics platform company, is offering KNIME Teaching Grants to improve undergraduate and postgraduate data science and data analytics education.

With KNIME Analytics Platform, the company already offers educators an open source low-code platform for teaching data analytics, data engineering, data science, and AI to students in any discipline. To build upon this, the new KNIME Teaching Grants will support the development of innovative teaching concepts and new educational materials that leverage KNIME for data science education.

Examples of materials include slides or videos on specific topics, lab exercises or student challenges with reusable data, and instructive use cases or workflow examples.

Each project will be supported by a grant of $5,000 from KNIME.

KNIME envisions that materials created with the support of this grant are shared (with a permissive license) on the KNIME Teaching Materials Repository to facilitate reuse by educators and members of the KNIME Educators Alliance and others.

The grant money of $5,000 will be offered as a donation to the institution of the proposer and can be used as they see fit.
