Tigera, the creator of Project Calico, has announced the release of Calico Open Source 3.30, delivering major upgrades to observability, security, and scalability for Kubernetes deployments. • Advanced observability with Goldmane, a gRPC-based API endpoint for streamlined access to Calico-generated flow logs and metrics.
• Integration with Whisker, a web-based UI for viewing, filtering, and sharing flow logs to simplify troubleshooting and policy authoring.
• Staged network policies, including GlobalStagedNetworkPolicy and StagedNetworkPolicy, allowing users to test and audit microsegmentation rules before enforcing them.
