Timothy Serewicz, Vice President of Education at The Linux Foundation, joins me to talk about the importance of security in the modern cloud-centric world. However, he also adds that we need to empower teams across organizations as security is not an afterthought or someone else’s problem, it’s everyone’s job. The Linux Foundation offers many training courses to help organizations improve their security posture. He also talks about an often overlooked area of security which is sustainability; “Improving security can help reduce energy consumption and ecological footprint by using smaller, more efficient code,” says Serewicz.
