SIOS LifeKeeper v10.1 Simplifies HA/DR with AIOps and Multi-Cloud Support

SIOS Technology has released LifeKeeper v10.1, adding automation and cloud management capabilities designed to simplify high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) deployments across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. The update introduces a command-line interface for Windows, broader support for enterprise platforms, and enhanced integrations with cloud providers as organizations look to automate increasingly complex infrastructure.

The release reflects a broader trend in enterprise IT, where AI-driven operations (AIOps) and infrastructure automation are becoming essential for managing large-scale environments spanning multiple clouds, databases, and Kubernetes-based applications.

Automation Takes Center Stage

A key addition in LifeKeeper v10.1 is a new Windows command-line interface (CLI) that enables administrators to deploy, configure, and manage multiple LifeKeeper clusters through scripts and automation tools. The CLI supports JSON output and API key management, making it easier to integrate with infrastructure automation pipelines and future AIOps workflows.

SIOS says the new interface lays the groundwork for machine-readable operations, allowing enterprises to automate repetitive management tasks while reducing operational complexity.

The release also updates the LifeKeeper Web Management Console with centralized log viewing, improved multi-target mirror management, cluster-wide license visibility, and additional language support. Together, these changes aim to shorten troubleshooting time and improve day-to-day operations for administrators managing distributed environments.

Another operational enhancement is a new Recovery Kit for HULFT that removes the need for manual scripting during resource creation, simplifying deployments for organizations using the enterprise file transfer platform.

Broader Support for Enterprise Workloads

LifeKeeper v10.1 expands compatibility with modern enterprise infrastructure by adding support for Microsoft SQL Server 2025 on Windows and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) 16.

The release also strengthens protection for Oracle deployments through an updated Oracle Recovery Kit. New capabilities include support for multi-instance database environments, Oracle listener resources, multiple System Identifiers (SIDs), and Oracle VSS Writer, helping organizations maintain availability during maintenance and failover scenarios.

Cloud integrations have also been expanded. Native support for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure’s Instance Metadata Service v2 (IMDSv2) improves security while built-in retry mechanisms help reduce disruptions caused by temporary service interruptions.

For Amazon Web Services, the update introduces support for assigning unique AWS profiles to individual Recovery Kits, along with improvements to Route 53 resource handling and AWS Transit Gateway integration. These enhancements are intended to simplify deployments spanning multiple virtual private clouds (VPCs), a common architecture for large enterprise environments.

Preparing for AI-Assisted Operations

According to SIOS, the latest release is designed to address both current operational challenges and longer-term infrastructure trends. As organizations deploy larger numbers of clusters across hybrid and multi-cloud environments, automation is becoming a prerequisite for maintaining resilience without significantly increasing operational overhead.

Masahiro Arai, COO of SIOS Technology, said the release provides customers with automation capabilities they need today while establishing a foundation for AI-assisted infrastructure management in the future. The company also views the update as an important step for organizations operating large, distributed environments where consistent deployment and management are critical.

Rather than introducing AI features directly, LifeKeeper v10.1 focuses on making infrastructure more automation-friendly through standardized interfaces and programmable management capabilities. That approach aligns with a growing industry emphasis on preparing infrastructure for AIOps by exposing machine-readable APIs and automating routine administrative tasks.
