Slim.AI, the Boston-based startup focused on simplifying software supply chain security, has hired Mickey Gordon as chief product officer (CPO). Gordon is based in Tel Aviv, where he will lead the company’s new Israel office, building out the product engineering team.

Gordon comes to the CPO role with a strong background in product leadership, having served in similar roles at Cloudinary and Stratoscale. “Some of the world’s most talented software developers live in Tel Aviv,” said Gordon. “I’m excited to help build a strong presence in the region that will help us not only expand our amazing product team, but also establish our market presence in a region where software teams intuitively understand Slim’s core value proposition.”

Slim was founded in 2020 with a lineup of founding partners including boldstart Ventures, Decibel Partners, FXP, Knollwood and TechAviv Founding Partners. The company has always had strong bonds in Tel Aviv and is sponsoring DevOpsDays Tel Aviv for the second time this year.

“The Tel Aviv tech scene is in Slim’s DNA,” said John Amaral, CEO of Slim. “It’s great to finally be setting our roots here, and Mickey is exactly the right leader to help us build out the team and our presence here.”

The company currently has several positions open in Tel Aviv, and open positions can be found on its job board.
