One of the key challenges of climate change is related to standardization. Currently, there is no standard way to report on carbon emissions or specific rules on the details. Although the existing GHG (greenhouse gas protocol) does contain some loose guidelines, Joan Collell, Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer at FlexiDAO, feels that the introduction of more strict regulations and standards will mean that companies will need to be prepared to be able to report on their emissions more accurately. Collel believes that this is something companies need to be addressing now, learning and implementing digital tools for reporting on their carbon emissions.
