In this clip, Shaun O’Meara, CTO of Mirantis, talks about the release timeline for MKE4. He shares that release candidates have been announced, with general availability (GA) expected the following week.
MKE4, with its composable nature, will iterate similarly to k0s, allowing for more customer choice in API options. While k0s will remain closely aligned with the latest Kubernetes updates, MKE4 will cater to the needs of large-scale customers. Additionally, a new initiative called Project 2A will also be introduced to support multi-cluster environments, running in parallel with MKE.
