CData Software, a provider of data connectivity solutions, has announced major momentum in its embedded connectivity business, driven by increasing demand for seamless data access among software providers. To capitalize on this trend, the company has launched CData Embedded Cloud, a new cloud-based data connectivity service tailored for small to midsize software companies.
The new offering enables software vendors to provide instant, self-service access to over 160 of CData’s pre-built connectors, spanning SaaS applications, databases, and cloud data sources. CData manages security updates, API changes, and performance optimizations, allowing software teams to embed reliable connectivity without building or maintaining infrastructure themselves.
“Software providers aren’t just asking for connectivity—they’re being evaluated on it,” said Amit Sharma, Founder and CEO of CData. “As AI moves from experimentation to execution, product teams need scalable access to data across critical systems. That’s where CData excels.”
The company reports its embedded connectors are already powering four of the 10 largest BI and analytics platforms and three of the top 10 data integration and warehousing firms. Notable customers include Google Cloud Platform, VISMA, Infragistics, Celigo, Ellie.ai, Stellar One, and Bluecopa.
Alongside the new cloud service, CData continues to expand its connector portfolio—now exceeding 300—with new additions such as Okta and PingOne for identity analytics and a Salesforce Data Cloud connector for real-time customer data.
To support its growing embedded customer base, CData has tripled its investment in customer success, appointing Rahul Pahuja as Field CTO. With two decades of experience, Pahuja will lead technical collaboration with embedded partners to align solutions with strategic goals.
CData’s sustained innovation and investment have been bolstered by a $350 million strategic investment from Warburg Pincus and the company’s inclusion in the 2024 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Data Integration.
