Tetrate has announced the technical preview of its Tetrate Agent Operations Director, a new solution aimed at helping enterprises maximize the return on investment (ROI) from generative AI (GenAI) initiatives. The early access program is now open for organizations seeking to improve AI cost management and risk governance.
The Agent Operations Director enables machine learning (ML) infrastructure teams and application developers to optimize AI-powered application performance while enhancing workflow efficiency. By providing real-time insights and intelligently orchestrating large language model (LLM) traffic, the solution ensures scalable and high-performance AI infrastructure.
Tetrate Agent Operations Director addresses these challenges by offering:
- Real-time visibility into GenAI resource consumption per application
- Cost analysis, budgeting, and ownership tracking
- Interception and management of unauthorized AI usage (“Shadow AI”)
- Optimized model selection to control expenses without service degradation
- Fallback mechanisms to prevent disruptions during provider outages
Built on Envoy AI Gateway, the solution extends Tetrate’s expertise in autonomous traffic orchestration to GenAI inference workloads. It helps enterprises manage AI costs, minimize risks, and ensure their AI investments deliver on their promises.
“As our customers invest more in LLMs, they increasingly need better risk and cost governance. Gaining an understanding of how much they’re spending on different LLMs, whether these are sanctioned models, and which LLM to use in each situation can help them optimize their investment,” said David Wang, head of product management at Tetrate. “We built Tetrate Agent Operations Director to give enterprises the monitoring and optimization capabilities to ensure inference workloads are cost-effective and safe and deliver the efficiency that both users and developers expect.”
The technical preview is available now, allowing organizations to begin evaluating GenAI cost governance and optimization strategies.
