This year, we will have not one but two Open Mainframe Summits aimed at two different audiences. The first event will be hosted at IBM TechXchange Conference taking place at Las Vegas on September 11-14. The highlight of the Open Mainframe event will be the Zowe project that’s building a bridge between modern developers and time-tested mainframe technologies.

Open Mainframe Project Executive Director John Mertic says that hosting the summit at IBM’s event allows for a mutual exposure where IBM’s ISVs and vendor communities will interact with the open mainframe community while the open mainframe community will network with the larger IBM ecosystem. The summit will feature a successful use case of M&T Bank that’s leveraging open mainframe technologies. Check out the whole schedule here…..
