Linkerd 2.10 was released recently which brings many new features to the project. One of the most significant features according to Jason Morgan, Technical Evangelist for Linkerd at Buoyant, is that they have taken apart the control panel so users can install just what they need to run a service mesh on a cluster, and then install components like a nice graphics view if they need. They have also taken multi- cluster and tracing and put them into their own extensions. It gives users the ability to extend Linkerd themselves if they want.
