As the tech world rushes headlong into artificial intelligence (AI), re:cinq CEO and Co-Founder Pini Reznik has a sobering message: many companies still haven’t fully realized the value of their last major transformation—cloud native.
In a recent TFiR interview, Reznik discusses why he believes cloud native adoption remains incomplete in most enterprises. “They might have Kubernetes and microservices,” he says, “but their delivery cycles are still six weeks long. That’s not cloud native.”
This highlights a deeper issue: organizations often stop at “good enough” rather than pursuing true transformation. Now, with AI, Reznik sees the same pattern playing out—massive investment, rushed rollouts, and a belief that tools alone will solve problems.
Instead, he argues for a deliberate, iterative path. “Start small with a focused team, build a minimum viable product, scale it gradually,” he advises. This approach—emphasizing planning, maturity, and patience—is the only reliable way to implement any major technology.
For DevOps leaders and technology executives, this clip offers a valuable pause. Before chasing the next big innovation, ask: Have we truly finished the last one?
